Day 9 of 30 — The Power of Faithfulness in Prayer
Well, good morning, guys. Welcome to day number nine of the thirty-day prayer challenge.
Man, I’m proud of you. I really am. God is working in you right now—and He’s equipping you for things you don’t even realize yet—simply because you’re consistently showing up, seeking His face, and pouring out your heart to your Heavenly Father. He loves you. He wants to help you. And He wants to be with you in everything.
Let me jump right into today’s Scripture.
Romans 12:12 talks about continuing steadfastly in prayer.
Let me say that again: continuing steadfastly in prayer.
So what does that mean?
Honestly, it comes down to one word: faithfulness.
Faithfulness is such a powerful word in the Kingdom of God. I can’t overestimate the wealth in it—the power in it—the wisdom that gets placed into your heart when you simply stay faithful.
Now, faithfulness often gets a bad rap because it can seem mundane. It can feel like, “Man, I’m just doing the routine.” But faithfulness is so much more than that.
Faithfulness is consistency.
It’s consistently showing up—even when you don’t feel like it.
To be faithful means: I just show up.
I just show up.
And I’m telling you, friend, God is pleased when you simply show up and seek His face and pray. It means something to Him. It’s not that we’re just going through motions—it’s that we are choosing to faithfully obey the Lord and make ourselves available to Him.
And that availability you give to God? Man, it means the world.
Because when you’re open and available to the Lord, He’s able to move in your life. He’s able to answer your prayers. He’s able to speak to your heart. He’s able to do things in your life that you’ve needed done. He’s able to give you wisdom and discernment that you don’t have on your own.
But when we’re not available—when we’re not faithful—it doesn’t mean God stops being God. It doesn’t mean He walks away. But it does put us in a place where it’s harder for the Lord to reach our spirit, reach our heart, and pour into us the things He longs to pour into us.
So when the Bible says continuing steadfastly in prayer, this is what it’s talking about.
Faithfulness.
A question to reflect on today
Where is a place and a time where you can choose to faithfully, consistently just show up with the Lord?
And you should know this by now—you should be developing it.
If you’ve made it this far into the challenge and you’re still struggling to find consistency, it’s time to hammer it out. It’s time to decide:
“This is what I’m going to do. This is where I’m going to go.”
Get up ten minutes early. Stay up ten minutes late. Find a place outside. Find a spare bedroom. Find a hall closet if you have to. Get in that thing and seek the face of the Lord. Make a time with God so you’re available to Him—because you’re starting to understand the value of faithfulness and availability.
So I’m challenging you today: if you haven’t already had your ten minutes, take it today.
And hopefully by now you’re realizing it’s transformational. Hopefully by now the Lord is already beginning to speak to you about things He’s desired to speak to you about.
He will. I promise you that.
As you’re faithful to Him, God will be faithful to you.
I’m proud of you guys.
Come on—share this video with somebody as well.
See you in the next one.
